Following his speech in October, where he criticized the Chinese regulatory authorities, the Chinese government initiated levied allegations of anti-monopolistic practices against Alibaba and Ant Group.
The absence of Jack Ma from public locations led to rumors of his disappearance and created speculations about its whereabouts.
On Wednesday, Jack Ma was spotted at an online conference. The Alibaba founder spoke to hundreds of Chinese teachers at the online conference. The conference is part of initiatives by Jack Ma to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of rural educators in China.
A reporter from Global Times, Qingqing Chen, posted a video of Jack Ma addressing teachers in China through a Twitter post. The reporter from the media organization affiliated with the Chinese government stated in the post that Jack Ma had not disappeared.
The post stated that Ma addressed 100 village teachers on Wednesday. Reportedly, Ma said to the teachers,’ after COVID19, we’ll meet each other again.’
