As the world celebrates Hobi Day today, band member J-hope has come forward to provide support to disabled children in celebration of his birthday. According to K-media reports, the dancer and rapper have pledged to donate ₩150 million KRW ($135,657 USD) to the disabled children’s foundation.
A member of Green Noble Club, an elite group of individuals who have donated over ₩100 million KRW ($90,438 USD), Hobi felt that is his responsibility to help the members of future Korea who are trying to the best of their capabilities even after having some disabilities.
I heard that the number of families in vulnerable situations is increasing significantly due to the prolonged covid-19 crisis, and support for disabled children is urgently needed. I hope this donation will further expand social interest in supporting children with disabilities,” J-Hope said while announcing the donation.
