An important meeting of leaders of the QUAD countries is scheduled to be held today.

The meaning of QUAD is ‘Quadrilateral Security Dialogue’. This alliance includes India, Japan, Australia and the US.
The aim of the QUAD is to restore peace and power and maintain balance in the Asia-Pacific region.
The QUAD was proposed in 2007 by Shinzo Abe, the then Prime Minister of Japan.
The proposal was supported by India, US and Australia. After this, the first meeting of the foreign ministers of all these countries was held in the year 2019.
