Haryana-Punjab border was blocked on Sunday, at Shambhu toll plaza near Ambala by farmers after a major confrontation took place between police and farmers. Who were protesting against Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar in Hisar who reached there to inaugurate a Covid hospital.
Many farmers are reportedly injured in the baton-charged.
There are allegations against police of resorting to lathicharge on peacefully protesting farmers, while the cops claim that the farmers turned to violence at the protests and started pelting stones.
Meanwhile CM khattar urged to protestors to avoid any hostile due to surge in corona infection.
He said, “your fight against govt can continue once Covid-19 is over. But it’s not the right time for this as corona is spreading in villages. We’ve to stand together in fight against Covid-19.”
