India logged 6,822 new Covid-19 infections, the lowest in 558 days, taking the country’s total tally of Covid cases to 3,46,48,383, the Union Health Ministry informed on Tuesday.
Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation chief Vijay Suryavanshi on Monday informed that out of 295 recent foreign returnees in Thane district, 100 were untraceable.
He said the mobile phones of some of these people were switched off while many of the last given addresses were found to be locked, news agency PTI reported. Keeping in view the rise in Omicron cases in India, this is a worrying situation for the state government as well as the state.
