    Republic day

Building on previous year’s celebrations, this year’s Republic Day celebration will feature energy, enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and “Jan Bhagidari,” as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 75th year of Independence, recognised as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

On January 26, 2023, President Droupadi Murmu will lead the country in celebrating Republic Day from Kartavya Path in New Delhi.
Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the president of Egypt, will attend the parade as the chief guest.

On January 23, the anniversary of independence fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth, the weeklong festivities got underway. Aadi Shaurya – Parv Parakram ka, a unique military tattoo and tribal dance festival, was held in New Delhi on January 23 and 24 to commemorate the event.

The culmination of the celebrations will take place on January 30, which is Martyrs’ Day.

The events include the first-ever e-invitations, the largest-ever drone show, and 3-D anamorphic projection. Attractive performances from the Vande Bharatam group of dancers from all over the nation, bravery tales from Veer Gatha 2.0 participants, melodious performances by School Bands at the National War Memorial, and the first-ever e-invitations are also part of the celebrations.

    The March

The Republic Day parade, which will start at around 10:30 am, will be a special mash-up of the nation’s military might and cultural variety, portraying the country’s expanding indigenous capabilities, Nari Shakti, and the creation of a “New India.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the National War Memorial before the parade ceremony. He will set a wreath on behalf of the nation as a sorrowful homage to the fallen soldiers.

The Prime Minister will thereafter watch the parade from the saluting dais at Kartavya Path with other dignitaries.

The National Anthem will be played after the National Anthem, which will be preceded by a thunderous 21-gun salute, as is customary. The 21-gun salute will be fired by 105-mm Indian guns, one of several firsts.

It replaces the vintage 25-pounder gun, reflecting upon the growing ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in defence. Four Mi-17 1V/V5 helicopters of 105 Helicopter Unit will shower flower petals on the audience present at Kartavya Path.
