    Man Trained In China & Pakistan Has Entered Mumbai: NIA

    The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued an alert to Mumbai Police via email, stating that a dangerous man has entered the country’s financial capital. Since receiving this information, the investigating agency has been on high alert.

    The NIA mentions the word “dangerous” in its email asking Mumbai Police to be alert. In its email, the NIA mentioned the name of the suspect as Sarfaraz Memon and said that he has reached Mumbai, sources told ABP News.

    The nodal agency informed that this person is a resident of Indore, he has taken training in China, Hong Kong, and Pakistan and he is dangerous for India.

    It has also sent his Aadhaar card, driving license, passport, and LC copy to Mumbai Police via email. The Mumbai Police has further informed Indore Police about this. More details about this development are awaited.

    The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two people on Saturday who were allegedly attempting to travel to Pakistan for weapons training. According to the police statement, Khalid Mubarak Khan, 21, of Thane West, Maharashtra, and Abdullah, 26, of Tamil Nadu, were both arrested.

    According to news agency ANI, the two were planning to illegally cross into Pakistan for weapons training.

    “Both the accused persons were receiving instructions from a handler in Pakistan and were planning to go to Pakistan for weapon training by illegally crossing the border,” Delhi Police said in a statement, according to ANI. Two pistols along with 10 live cartridges, a knife, and a wire cutter were recovered from their possession. 

    “On February 14 2023, information was received that some radicalised persons, having allegiance to a terror module will come to Delhi via Mumbai to carry out some illegal activity and will further go to Pakistan for terrorist training with the help of their Pakistan-based handler. They have sophisticated illegal arms and will arrive near Ring Road on the backside of Red Fort,” the statement read.
