    Heavy rains

Over Haryana and its surroundings, a western disturbance with cyclonic circulation is present in the lower troposphere. A trough can be detected in the middle troposphere due to another western disturbance.

Additionally, a new Western Disturbance is anticipated to hit Northwest India starting on May 5’s evening. Over the next 24 hours, Northwest India is expected to experience light to moderate moderately widespread to widespread rainfall or snowfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, followed by a significant decrease over the following two days.

A new wet spell is expected to begin across the region on May 6, with scattered to fairly widespread rainfall or snowfall projected for the Western Himalayan region and isolated to scattered rain forecast for the plains of Northwest India for the next 2-3 days.

There is a chance of isolated hailstorms in Uttarakhand on May 4th. Thundersqualls, accompanied by winds of up to 50-60 kmph, are also likely to occur in the region. In addition, West India may experience isolated light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning over the next five days. On May 4th, certain areas in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathawada may be hit by hailstorms.

While a cyclonic circulation continues over South Interior Karnataka and the surrounding region, a trough or wind discontinuity also extends from Southwest Madhya Pradesh to South Tamil Nadu. As a result, over the next two days, South India may see isolated to widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. On May 3 and 4, as well as in South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, heavy rains are predicted to pummelled isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are possible in Central India over the next 24 hours. IMD preducted a trough stretching over Northeast India earlier this week, which is likely influencing the weather in the region. During the next five days, light to moderate, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is expected over Northeast India.
