“The France international strained his hamstring towards the end of Sunday’s 2-1 win against Fulham at Old Trafford.
“Assessments have since revealed a muscle tear that rules the 27-year-old out of the Wembley showdown.”
Martial scored nine goals in 29 appearances for United this term but restrict by a series of injuries.
Only 11 of his 21 league games have come off the bench, but he had hoped to be in position to start versus City, who are chasing a triple of the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.This season, Martial has made 27 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, scoring nine goals. The 27-year-old was expect to captain the line for Erik ten Hag this year, but setbacks from injuries have stopped that from happening. United are presently looking for a new striker, with Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur being the top target for Ten Hag. This could mean that Martial’s future at the club could be in jeopardy.
