    The police in Mira Bhayandar Vasai stated on Monday that they are reviewing transcripts of the speech delivered by leader T Raja Singh in Mira Road on Sunday, suspecting potential communal remarks. A senior police official mentioned that once the speech is analyz they will seek legal advice on whether any action should be pursue against him.

    T Raja Singh had initially been denied police permission to hold a rally in Mira Road, where communal tensions had erupted the previous month. However, the Bombay High Court later granted him permission under the condition that he refrains from making any hate speech. The Telangana MLA had provided a written assurance to the zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police that he would not engage in hate speech during the rally.

    Officer’s Assessment of T Raja Singh’s Speech

    A senior officer stated, “The entire speech was video record and we will be going through it again and seek legal opinion on whether he has violated the undertaking.” The officer added, “It prima facie appears that at certain points he has used some words and phrases that could violate his undertaking but we will decide after going through the video again.”

    An officer reported that a few thousand people, primarily youngsters, attended the rally organized by the Sakal Hindu Samaj which took place in the evening. The rally ended at 7.30 pm, just a few hours before the commencement of Shab-e-Baraat, when Muslims spend the night praying in mosques.

    T Raja Singh’s Remarks on Chhatrapati Shivaji

    Addressing the audience from the top of an open truck, Singh reportedly spoke for over 40 minutes about Chhatrapati Shivaji during which he allegedly used some derogatory words referring to the Muslim community. He also asked people to vow to work for a Hindu Rashtra, and fight against jihad, conversion, and cow slaughter.
