    PM Narendra Modi has called for the deployment of India’s complete counter-terror capabilities. On Thursday, he reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir during a meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other officials.

    Terror Strikes in J&K: 10 Dead, Dozens Injured; PM Reviews Security

    The Jammu and Kashmir region has experienced multiple terror attacks in recent days. Over the past four days, terrorists have targeted four locations in the Reasi, Kathua, and Doda districts, resulting in the deaths of nine pilgrims and a CRPF jawan, with seven security personnel and several others injured.

    In a meeting on Thursday, the prime minister received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in the union territory. He was also updated on the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.

    Terror attacks in J&K

    On Sunday, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi, causing it to veer off the road and fall into a deep gorge, killing nine and injuring 41. Two days later, terrorists attacked a joint checkpost in Doda, injuring six security personnel.

    On the same night, another encounter in Kathua district resulted in the deaths of one Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and one terrorist after ultras attacked a house in Saida Sukhal village in Hiranagar.

    PM Modi Pushes Counter-Terror Efforts; Suspected LeT Attack in J&K

    During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi urged senior officials to utilize the full range of India’s counter-terror capabilities. He also discussed the deployment of security forces and counter-terror operations with Home Minister Amit Shah.

    The Jammu and Kashmir police suspect that the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba is responsible for the attack in Reasi, ANI reported. The J-K police have established 11 teams to investigate the incident, and a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also evaluating the situation in Reasi.
