Veteran actor Atul Parchure passed away at the age of 57 after a long battle with cancer. He took his last breath on Monday, October 14, 2024. Parchure’s death has sent shockwaves through the film industry, leading to a flood of tributes and condolences on social media from fans, colleagues, and industry peers. The actor was highly regarded for his versatility, excelling in both Marathi cinema and Hindi television. He appeared in numerous films and TV shows, gaining significant fame for his performances.
One of his most notable roles was on The Kapil Sharma Show, where his comedic talent shone. His work also extended to films like All the Best, where he acted alongside prominent Bollywood stars such as Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt. Parchure had been fighting cancer for several years and experienced a relapse recently, which led to the deterioration of his health while working on the stage show Suryachi Pille. He is survived by his mother, wife, and daughter.
During a past talk show, Atul Parchure revealed his cancer diagnosis. Doctors had discovered a 5 cm tumor in his liver.In an interview, he emphasized the severity of his situation, saying, “Doctors told me I had a tumor about 5 centimeters long in my liver, and it was cancerous.”

Unfortunately, his treatment initially worsened his health due to a misdiagnosis. Recounting the ordeal, Parchure said, “The first procedure after my diagnosis went wrong, affecting my pancreas and causing multiple complications. The incorrect treatment made my condition worse.
Atul Parchure, the veteran actor, shared on a talk show that doctors warned him about the severe risks of surgery for his liver tumor. Faced with this serious prognosis, he sought a second opinion and changed doctors. He then began the appropriate treatment plan, which included medication and chemotherapy.
Parchure was renowned for his work across both film and television, especially noted for his comic timing. He became popular through several significant projects, including Vasu Chi Sasu, Priyatama, and Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka. His contributions to Marathi cinema, as well as Bollywood, left a lasting impact.
His filmography includes performances in notable films like Navra Mazha Navsacha, Salaam-E-Ishq, Partner, All the Best: Fun Begins, Khatta Meetha, and Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap. Through these diverse roles, Parchure carved a unique niche for himself, balancing humor with depth in his portrayals.
