A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning when a bus carrying students and teachers from Saraswati High School in Shankar Nagar overturned. The group was on their way to a picnic spot in the nearby Wardha district. The incident resulted in the death of one student, with several others, including students and teachers, suffering injuries. The group was traveling in five buses at the time of the accident, according to the police.
One of the buses, with some 50 persons on board, overturned near Deoli Pendhari village on Hingani Road in a hilly section on the outskirts of the city, said an official of Hingna police station.
The boy who tragically lost his life was a 7th-grade student, though his name has not been disclosed, according to the police. In addition to the boy, a girl and a teacher suffered serious injuries in the accident. Both were quickly transported to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Nagpur for urgent medical treatment. Other injured individuals were taken to a nearby rural hospital for care. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, and further details are awaited.
