Louis D’Souza, director of Tamarind Global, states, “Travel among Indian travelers has experienced remarkable growth, and this trend is expected to continue well into 2025.” He highlights that modern Indian travelers are seeking unique, tailor-made experiences that go beyond conventional sightseeing. “Whether it’s relaxing in a private villa on an exclusive island, savoring a gourmet experience at Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo, or exploring personalized art and fashion tours in Paris, travel is increasingly focused on immersive and meaningful experiences,” he explains.

As Kamat says, “The growing appetite for such experiences is a clear indication that luxury travel will only continue to flourish in the coming years, with Indians playing a key role in shaping its future.” Gone are the days when Indians were stereotyped as “budget travellers”. Today, they are shaping the global luxury travel landscape with their evolving tastes and growing influence.
