New Zealand Secures Semifinal Spot, Ends 16-Year Champions Trophy Drought
This victory secured New Zealand’s spot in the semifinals alongside India, while Pakistan and Bangladesh have been eliminated from the tournament. The BlackCaps also ended a 16-year drought by advancing to the knockout stage of the Champions Trophy for the first time since 2009, having failed to progress beyond the group stage in both the 2013 and 2017 editions.
