PM Modi on Thursday reached Uttarakhand and was welcomed at the airport by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. As per the schedule, PM Modi Uttarakhand visit includes performing pooja and darshan at the winter seat of Ganga in Mukhwa. At around 10:40 am, he will flag off a trek and bike rally and also address the gathering at a public function in Harsil.

Uttarakhand CM welcomes PM Modi
CM Pushkar Dhami felicitated the Prime Minister at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, during PM Modi Uttarakhand visit. Dhami posted on X, calling PM Modi the world’s most popular leader and a great seeker of national upliftment. He praised Modi’s energetic leadership and tireless efforts in Uttarakhand’s development. Dhami welcomed and felicitated him at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, on his arrival in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.

PM Modi’s Uttarakhand Tour
According to the official statement, PM Modi is visiting Uttarakhand to promote religious tourism and strengthen the local economy, including homestays and tourism businesses.
In a post on X, Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to boosting Uttarakhand’s economy through tourism. He announced, “Tomorrow at around 9:30 AM, I will have the privilege of offering prayers to Maa Ganga in Mukhwa. Following this, I will interact with my family members in Harsil.”
Expressing his enthusiasm, he added, “I am eagerly looking forward to visiting Mukhwa, the winter abode of the sacred Maa Ganga. This holy site is renowned worldwide for its spiritual significance and breathtaking beauty. Moreover, it stands as a remarkable testament to our vision of preserving heritage while fostering development.”
The Uttarakhand government has launched a Winter Tourism program this year, attracting thousands of devotees to the winter abodes of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The initiative aims to promote religious tourism while strengthening the local economy, including homestays and tourism businesses.
