    Two Indian restaurants earned spots on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list, revealed during the awards ceremony in Seoul, South Korea, on March 25. Masque in Mumbai claimed the 19th position and was also recognized as India’s Best Restaurant for 2025. Meanwhile, Accent in New Delhi was the only other restaurant on the list, securing the 46th rank. The list was largely dominated by Bangkok and Tokyo, each boasting nine entries.

    Masque & Indian Accent

    Mumbai’s Masque is renowned for its emphasis on local ingredients and its ten-course tasting menu, crafted by head chef Varun Totlani. The menu, which evolves with the seasons, includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Signature dishes feature Kashmiri morels with patra (Colocasia leaves) stuffed with fresh peas or barbecued pork. Located in The Lodhi, New Delhi, Indian Accent reimagines In cuisine with a modern and innovative approach. Previously led by chef Manish Mehrotra for two decades, the restaurant is now helmed by Executive Chef Shantanu Mehrotra.
