    Govinda Injured at Home After Accidental Discharge of Licensed Revolver

    Popular actor Govinda was hospitalized this morning after sustaining a bullet wound to his leg, according to Mumbai Police. The actor is now out of danger, with his manager confirming he is recovering well. The injury occurred at around 4:45 am at Govinda’s Juhu residence due to an accidental discharge from his licensed revolver.

    Govinda Hospitalized After Accidental Gunshot Injury at Home, Now Stable

    In an audio message, Govinda credited the blessings of his fans, parents, and guru for his recovery. “I was struck by a bullet, but it has been removed. I am grateful to the doctors and for your prayers,” he said.

    The 60-year-old actor, who is also a Shiv Sena leader, was alone at home preparing to leave for Kolkata when the incident happened, according to his manager Shashi Sinha. Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, who is currently in Kolkata, is now en route to Mumbai after hearing about the accident.

    Mr. Sinha stated that Govinda was placing the revolver in a cupboard when it accidentally fell to the floor and discharged. The bullet struck him just below the knee. The actor immediately called his wife and manager for help. Shortly after, police arrived at the scene and took him to Criticare Hospital. According to his manager, Govinda’s condition is stable. He remains in the hospital, with his daughter Tina by his side.

    “We had a 6 a.m. flight to Kolkata for a show, and I had already arrived at the airport. Govinda ji was preparing to leave his home when the accident occurred,” the actor’s manager explained. He also expressed gratitude, saying, “Thanks to God’s grace, Govinda ji only suffered a leg injury, and it wasn’t anything serious.”
