    Salman Khan revealed that the biggest obstacle in his parents Salim Khan and Salma Khan’s marriage was not religion

    During a press meet for his upcoming film Sikandar, Salman Khan shared insights into his parents’ marriage. The actor spoke about the challenges his parents, Salim Khan and Salma Khan, faced, clarifying that the biggest hurdle was not their religious differences, as many might assume, but rather his father’s profession as a screenwriter.

    Salman spoke about his parents’ marriage during a press meet ahead of his upcoming release, Sikandar. During an interaction with select journalists, he shared that the main issue in his parents’ marriage was not the difference in religion.

    But his father’s profession. He asserted that the objections from his maternal side were never about the cultural practices. He said that the real concern at the time was his father’s profession in the film industry.

    Salman said, “It was never about the difference in the Hindu and Muslim culture and the practices, the bigger and more concerning thing at that time was, ‘Ye toh film line se hain’”.

    Along with his partner Javed Akhtar, Salim is credited with giving many blockbusters, including Don and Sholay. Salim Khan tied the knot with Salma on November 1964. They are parents to four children – Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Alvira. In 1981, Salim married actor Helen.
