Shruti Haasan shares heartwarming childhood photo with parents

Actor Shruti Haasan recently shared a nostalgic piece of her past on Instagram—a rare childhood photo with her parents, Kamal Haasan and Sarika. This throwback picture captures a moment of family happiness before the couple eventually separated.

In her Instagram story, Shruti posted the old photo showing a young Shruti in her father Kamal’s arms, with Sarika standing beside him. The picture was originally post by a fan who mentioned, “I found this in my dad’s cabinet, and it seems to be original.” The photo appears to has been taken in Kamal’s native village, Paramakudi.

Kamal Haasan and Vani Ganapathy: A Brief Marital Chapter

Before Sarika, Kamal Haasan was marry to Vani Ganapathy. He fall in love with Sarika when he was marry to Vani. After divorcing Vani, he married Sarika in 1988 and had two daughters, Shruti and Akshara Haasan. However, his marriage with Sarika also didn’t last long as the two parted ways in 2004.

In an interview in 2000, Kamal confessed that he never wanted to be part of the institution of marriage. “I was fast losing faith in the institution of marriage itself, at that time. I always spoke of it loudly, to the shock of people. I said it on the first day I got married that I didn’t want to,” he said.

Shruti Haasan: Following Her Parents’ Legacy

Nevertheless, Kamal Haasan and Sarika have remained influential figures in their daughters’ lives. Shruti, in particular, has followed in her parents’ footsteps, establishing herself as a talented actor and singer. On the other hand, Akshara Haasan, who has expressed her interest in direction, has worked as an assistant director and also tried her hand at acting.Currently, Shruti Haasan is part of many big-budget projects including Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambara, Prabhas’ Salaar Part 2, and Chennai Story. On the other hand, Kamal Haasan is awaiting the release of Indian 2 on July 12, 2024. He is currently working on Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life.
