    Yodha

Sidharth Malhotra’s latest film, “Yodha,” experienced a slight decline in ticket sales on its first Wednesday at the box office. On its sixth day, the action thriller earned ₹2 crore domestically, according to Sacnilk. With this, the total earnings of “Yodha” reached ₹23.25 crore, after surpassing the ₹20 crore mark on its first Tuesday. The film, directed by Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, premiered in theaters on March 15th. In “Yodha,” Sidharth Malhotra portrays the character of Arun Katyal, a special task force officer dedicated to protecting the nation from terrorists, who is later suspended and labeled a “traitor.” The cast also includes Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in significant roles.

Raashii Khanna, who plays Priyamvada Katyal in the film, expressed gratitude to her fans with a series of Instagram posts featuring scenes from “Yodha.” Alongside the images, she wrote, “Priyamvada Katyal. Your messages and love have deeply touched my heart. Thank you for embracing this character and allowing me to be a part of your cinematic journey. I am committed to bringing you roles that inspire and delight! Yours sincerely, Lady Yodha.”

Saibal Chatterjee awarded “Yodha” 1.5 out of 5 stars

Film critic Saibal Chatterjee awarded “Yodha” 1.5 out of 5 stars. He remarked, “In ‘Yodha,’ passenger planes are depicted as mere toys in the hands of commandos and terrorists, allowing them to access the cargo hold from the cabin, which is unrealistic.” Chatterjee further elaborated, “Much of the action in ‘Yodha,’ directed by Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, takes place in the passenger cabin of an aircraft and beneath it. The film culminates in Jinnah Hall, an Islamabad building where peace talks between the leaders of India and Pakistan are taking place. Predictably, a terror plot unfolds to disrupt the negotiations, emphasizing the antagonist’s belief that war is a profitable enterprise.”

“Yodha” is a collaboration between Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Amazon Prime Video, and Mentor Disciple Entertainment. Amit Singh Thakur, Sharik Khan, and Tanuj Virwani also feature in the film.
