An 8-year-old boy sitting on the roadside with the body of his two-year-old brother in his lap. The heart wrenching video is from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district. The hospital where the toddler had been declared dead did not provide an ambulance to take his dead body.
The boy sat with the dead body as his father had gone looking for a vehicle that would agree to transport the body to their village. The financial condition of the family is not good. The 2-year-old passed away due to illness at the district hospital. Even as the father asked for an ambulance, the district hospital staff refused saying no vehicle was available. As the child sat with the dead body, his plight attracted the attention of passersby. Soon, the police and some media persons too arrived. The police then arranged for an ambulance to take the child’s dead body home.
