The Manipur Police were conducting raids to arrest the other accused seen in the video and said more people will be arrested in the course of the next few hours
On Thursday, the Manipur Police arrested a person who was allegedly part of the mob. This mob had paraded and assaulted three women, after disrobing them two months ago in the ethnic violence-hit northeastern state.

In a tweet, chief minister N Biren Singh said his hearts go out to the women. He also added they were subjected to “a deeply disrespectful and inhumane act, as shown in the distressing video” that surfaced on Wednesday. “After taking a Suo-moto cognisance of the incident immediately after the video surfaced, the Manipur Police swung to action and made the first arrest this [Thursday] morning.”
Officials said Union home minister Amit Shah spoke to Singh about the investigation and directed him to take strict action.

Manipur: Centre orders Twitter, other platforms not to share video
The Centre has also issued an order to Twitter and other social media platforms. Centre directed them not to share the video of two women who were paraded naked. The video surfaced on the internet on Wednesday. In its instructions, the government also emphasized the importance of adhering to Indian laws. It mentioned that the matter was under investigation.
A video showing two women of Kuki-Zomi community being paraded naked by a mob led by men. The incident happened in violence-hit Manipur was shared on social media on Wednesday. The video is said to be two-month-old and it was confirmed later that the victims were stripped and paraded naked and later, gang-raped by the men. A police official stated that the nerve-wracking incident happened on May 4.
