Adani Enterprise Limited has refuted media reports alleging that US prosecutors have expanded their investigation into potential bribery in India. The company labeled the Bloomberg article titled “US Probing Indian Billionaire Gautam Adani and His Group Over Potential Bribery,” published on March 15, as false. In an exchange filing, Adani Enterprise Limited stated that they have not been notified by the US Department of Justice regarding any such allegations.
“Adani Enterprise Limited states that it has not received any notice from the Department of Justice of U.S. in respect of the allegation referred to in the said article,” the company said in its filing on Monday.

Adani Enterprises asserted that the report is inaccurate anti-bribery laws
According to the report, investigators are examining whether an Adani entity or individuals associated with the company might have engaged in bribing officials in India to secure favorable treatment for an energy project. However, in its rebuttal, Adani Enterprises asserted that the report is inaccurate. The conglomerate emphasized its adherence to anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws not only in India but also in other nations.
The report said investigators are digging into whether an Adani entity or people linked to the company, were involved in paying officials in India for favourable treatment on an energy project.
