Pune School Van Sexually Assaults 6-Year-Old Girl, Arrested

School Van Driver Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Girls in Pune

The Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.Has stated that strict action will be taken against the driver of a school van in Pune who was arrested for sexually assaulting two young girls. He also mentioned that the school authorities will be investigated to determine if they were negligent. The Deputy Chief Minister has directed the school to conduct background checks on their drivers and to provide them with sexual harassment training.

The sexual assault of two young girls by a school van driver in Pune has occurred amidst another similar incident in Badlapur, Thane district. A contractual sweeper at a school in Badlapur was accused of sexually assaulting two four-year-old girls in the school toilet. The accused, Akshay Shinde, was later arrested but was subsequently killed in a police encounter. These incidents have sparked widespread protests.
