A shocking incident is doing rounds on social media where bikers allegedly snatched a woman’s mobile phone. Before dragging her on the road for 150 meters on a busy stretch Shalimar Bagh in Delhi.
A video of the incident went viral on Friday.
In the video, the woman can be seen holding on for dear life as the two men(bikers) drag her along on their speeding scooty. Before she falls in the middle of the road, dangerously close to a running car which halted immediately.
While the men fled, she was rescued by bystanders at the site of the incident. The woman, after being dragged by the scooty, had been left in the middle of the road that had running traffic.
The timely action by locals in the area helped her from a bigger mishap. As they surrounded her and took her aside.
As per reports, one of the two accused has been arrested. The victim got injuries on her knee and was taken to a nearby hospital. She was discharged after being administered treatment.
The scooty which belonged to the accused has also been recovered by the Police. The search for another identified accused is underway, cops said.
This is not the first time that such an incident has happened at the national capital, only last month a woman and her daughter was attacked by a group of four people in the same Shalimar Bagh area of Delhi.
The woman and her daughter had to be hospitalized after the incident.
