    Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua leaves 1 CRPF personnel, 2 militants dead

    Kathua Encounter :Hours after a CRPF personnel has killed in an encounter with militants during a search operation in the Kootah area of Kathua district, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday eliminated a second militant who was hiding in the area.

    The militant had escaped on Tuesday night after his accomplice has killed. The police and paramilitary forces subsequently initiated a search operation in Kootah. The two militants had entered a house in the village the previous night, asked for water, and then opened fire, injuring a civilian.

    CRPF Personnel Killed in Kathua Encounter: Search Operations Intensify

    On Wednesday morning, during a search operation, a militant fired at the joint team from the forest area, resulting in the death of a CRPF personnel. Some of the bullets also struck the vehicle of Kathua SSP Anayat Ali Choudhary and an escort vehicle of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua range Dr. Sunil Gupta.

    Sources reported that searches were ongoing in the area to ensure no additional militants were hiding. Additionally, a search operation launch in the Ramgarh area following reports of two militants being sight there.

    Jammu and Kashmir: Third Terror Attack in Doda Injures Six, Including Five Soldiers

    On Tuesday night, militants attacked a joint police and security forces checkpoint in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, injuring six people, including five soldiers. This marks the third terror strike in the usually peaceful Jammu province since Sunday evening.

    On Sunday, June 9, a terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district resulted in the deaths of nine people and injuries to 38 others. Among the deceased were seven pilgrims.
