Today (March 20), Delhi Police apprehended three criminals after an encounter in the Begumpur area. Acting on information about criminals traveling in a car, the district police set up a trap. Upon the criminals’ arrival, the police attempted to stop them, but the criminals opened fire on the police team.
Delhi Police Nabs Four Armed Suspects in High-Stakes Late-Night Operation

In a dramatic late-night operation, Delhi Police arrested four criminals after receiving a tip-off about their illegal arms possession. The entire incident, captured on CCTV, went viral on social media after Delhi Police shared it on their official X account. Officials reported that on March 1, intelligence sources alerted the Badarpur sub-division of Delhi Police about four suspects carrying illegal weapons while roaming in a car with a Delhi registration.
Acting swiftly on information from intelligence sources, a team from Sub-Division Badarpur deployed themselves at Lohiya Pul near Nala Road, Arpan Vihar. Around 12:10 AM, a grey-colored car approached from Arpan Vihar, which the informer identified as the suspects’ vehicle. As the police team attempted to stop the vehicle, the front passenger pulled out a pistol. Reacting immediately, the police fired at the car’s front wheel, successfully immobilizing the vehicle. They then apprehended all four suspects and recovered two illegal pistols, two cartridges, and the car during a further search.
Accused Procured Weapons from Uttar Pradesh, Planned Major Crime
The preliminary inquiry revealed that the accused had procured the weapons from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. Police registered a case under the Arms Act and arrested all four accused. According to the police, the criminals were planning to commit a major crime. The arrested individuals include Nishant Nagar alias Nishu (29), a resident of Village Hasanpur, IP Extension Patparganj; Vikki Gujjar (27), a resident of Bhopura, Ghaziabad, who works at a dairy farm; Kunal alias Golu (25), a resident of Gazipur Dairy Farm, Delhi, also employed at a dairy farm; and Ankur (27), a resident of Gazipur Dairy Farm, Delhi.
