Authorities suspect Asif Asif Sheikh, a resident of Tral in Pulwama district, of playing an active role in the Pahalgam attack. Investigators believe he helped plan and coordinate the assault. He allegedly worked with members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror network. Officials have found evidence linking him directly to the conspiracy. They say he was not only aware of the attack but also took part in its execution.
During a late-night operation in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, security forces destroyed the house of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Asif Sheikh, who they suspect played a key role in the recent Pahalgam attack. They carried out the action as part of a broader crackdown on terrorist elements involved in planning and executing the assault. According to a report by PTI, the operation led to multiple explosions that also resulted in the destruction of homes belonging to two LeT terrorists, including Asif Sheikh.
