A BJP Mahila Morcha leader allegedly gang-raped by three men at a colony in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut.
The incident took place on December 21, according to a report in Amar Ujala.
The victim reportedly given a spiked drink, the report said and added that she found unconscious in a park the following day.
The Meerut Police informed in a tweet about Mahila Morcha that a case under relevant sections has been registered at Kharkhoda Police Station.
As per the report, a woman had called the BJP leader at her house and offered her a spiked drink. Soon after the victim fell unconscious, the woman called her lover, named Abdullah, and two of his friends who later gang-raped her.
This comes months ahead of the Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh.

The victim is the mother of three and has some marital dispute with her husband. SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary said in a statement that the medical examination of the victim done.
