Leaders Call on Modi Government to Act on Bangladesh Attacks
On Thursday, Mamata Banerjee expressed support for the Centre, saying in the assembly, “We don’t want any religion harmed. I’ve spoken to ISKCON, and since this concerns another country, the Centre must act. We stand with them.”
On Wednesday, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee and senior leader Saugata Roy condemned the attacks, urging strong action. Abhishek Banerjee stated, “What happened in Bangladesh is deeply unfortunate. The Central government must take decisive action.”
Union Minister Giriraj Singh condemned the violence, criticizing the interim government in Bangla as being “under the control of fundamentalists.”
