A Delhi court on Monday ordered Manish Sisodia to be held in CBI custody for five days until March 4, a day after he was arrested in the Delhi liquor policy case after hours of questioning by the central investigation agency.
In its chargesheet filed last year, the CBI named Manish Sisodia as the first accused in the alleged corruption in Delhi’s now-cancelled new excise policy.
In a press conference today, AAP MP Sanjay Singh attacked the Modi government, claiming that the Centre arrested Sisodia to divert public attention away from the Adani controversy.
“People are watching, will ensure justice, AAP was born out of movements, we are not afraid to go to jail,” Sanjay Singh said.
