Sanjay Roy, accused of raping and murdering a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, reportedly had drinks with his friend on the night of the crime. During a polygraph test conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday, Roy confessed to the crime
He revealed that before the crime, he and his friend visited a red-light area, although he claimed he did not engage in any sexual activities. Later, they allegedly molested another woman on the street before returning to the hospital.
India Today reported that Roy video-called his girlfriend and asked for nude photos that night. After returning to the hospital, Roy went to the corridor near the seminar hall at 4:03 am. It was there that he allegedly raped and murdered the victim, who was later found with 25 external and internal injuries and had been smothered to death.

The CBI has drawn a psychoanalytic profile of the accused, revealing a severe addiction to pornography, with several porn clips found on his phone.
