PM Modi slammed AAP for putting Anna Hazare at the front

Ahead of the 2025 Delhi assembly elections, PM Narendra Modi fiercely criticized the Aam Aadmi Party on Friday, stating that the national capital had been engulfed by a “disaster” over the past 10 years.

In a subtle remark aimed at AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, the Prime Minister said that by using Anna Hazare as a front, a few “Kattar beimaan” (highly dishonest) individuals have led the national capital towards “aapda” (disaster).

PM Modi Slams AAP, Emphasizes Development for the Poor

“These people once spoke about Delhi’s development… But now, it’s ‘AAP, this disaster has come to Delhi,’ and because of this, the people of Delhi have risen to fight against this ‘disaster.’ The voters of Delhi have decided to liberate the city from this ‘disaster,'” the Prime Minister stated while addressing an event at Ashok Vihar’s Ramlila Ground.

Criticizing the Atishi-led Delhi government, he said that the administration first engages in corruption and then celebrates it. “First the theft, then the arrogance… this AAP has come to Delhi,” he remarked.

PM Modi highlighted how he built homes and fulfilled the dreams of four crore people, while never constructing a house for himself.

“The country is well aware that Modi never built a home for himself but has constructed over 4 crore houses for the poor. ‘I too could have built a palace for myself,'” he said.

He urged the audience at the event to convey a message to the slum residents, saying, “Tell them on my behalf that they will certainly receive permanent houses, if not today, then tomorrow.”
