    On Wednesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) suggested that students utilize Delhi Metro facilities to commute to their Class 10 and 12 board exam centers, scheduled between February 15 (Thursday) and March 13. Additionally, the board encouraged students to depart early for their centers to prevent potential delays.

    Amidst various traffic constraints in the nation’s capital following the farmers’ march towards the city, CBSE issued the advisory stating, “Considering the current conditions in Delhi, we anticipate potential delays in reaching the examination center due to traffic disruptions… Therefore, we advise all students to depart from their homes earlier to ensure timely arrival in accordance with CBSE’s instructions. We recommend utilizing the smoothly operating metro services to reach the examination centers.”

    Ensuring Timely Arrival: CBSE Guidelines for Exam Attendance

    This year, the CBSE board exams will include more than 3.9 million students from 26 countries. In Delhi, 5,80,192 students will take exams at 877 centers. Exams start at 10:30 am, with students required to arrive by 10:00 am. CBSE advises all students, regardless of their location, to reach their exam centers by 10:00 am, considering various factors like local conditions, traffic, weather, and distance. Only students arriving by 10:00 am will be allowed entry.
