    UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 Candidates who clear the prelims will qualify to take the Civil Services mains exams. Scheduled for five days starting September 20. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has rescheduled the Civil Services Examination (Prelims) 2024. To prevent any clash with forthcoming general elections and state assembly polls.

    The new date for the exam is June 16, replacing the originally scheduled date of May 26. Qualifying the preliminary exam serves as the first step towards selection for prestigious positions. Such as IAS, IPS, IFS, Indian Forest Services, and various other central civil services.

    An official notification regarding the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024, which also functions as the screening test for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024, has been issued. It states that due to the forthcoming general election schedule, the Commission has decided to postpone the exam from May 26, 2024, to June 16, 2024. Candidates who clear the prelims will then qualify to appear for the Civil Services mains exams, which are scheduled for five days starting from September 20.
