    Mulling Leader of Opposition post

Regarding the possibility of Rahul Gandhi accepting the post of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, a senior leader stated that Gandhi would make this decision when the time is right, emphasizing that he values organizational responsibilities equally. Another Congress leader added that the downside of Rahul Gandhi assuming the position is that it will confine him to Delhi. We need to consider all aspects before making a decision.”

Congress leaders believe Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is vulnerable and could be toppld at any moment, but they agree that they should refrain from acting hastily. However, a senior leader acknowledged that it is unlikely for Central agencies to gain more autonomy. “No, the coalition partners can’t guarantee that. The entire system has been increasingly dominated by the BJP, especially in the last five years,” the leader said.
