Billionaire Elon Musk has contributed nearly $75 million to a political action committee he established to back Donald Trump’s U.S. presidential campaign, according to filings from late Tuesday. This highlights the Tesla founder’s deepening involvement in the Republican candidate’s efforts.
Musk, considered the world’s wealthiest individual, has become more prominent in Trump’s campaign, joining him on stage at a recent rally in Pennsylvania and regularly criticizing his opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris, on social media.

Trump often mentions Musk at rallies and has pledged to appoint him to a committee aimed at reducing government red tape.Polls indicate that the race between Harris and Trump remains extremely close.
Musk’s America PAC raised $74.95 million to support Trump’s campaign between July 1 and September 30, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.The PAC has concentrated on grassroots initiatives to encourage voter turnout, particularly in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, which can determine the outcome of the national election.

America PAC, founded by Elon Musk, offers $30 per hour, along with performance bonuses, to individuals helping with voter turnout, as advertised on its website. Musk had earlier pledged $47 to anyone who could get a swing-state voter to sign a petition in support of free speech and gun rights. His endorsement of Trump came after the Republican survived an assassination attempt in July.During the same reporting period, Harris’s main fundraising arm, the Harris Victory Fund, brought in $633 million, as detailed in its Federal Election Commission filings
Harris made a dramatic entry into the presidential race after incumbent President Joe Biden withdrew following a poor debate performance against Trump in July.
Since then, the vice president has energized the party’s base, running an intense campaign across the nation, particularly targeting key battleground states. According to the filing, her political action committee’s year-to-date fundraising was close to a billion dollars, reaching $931.2 million.
