    The trailer for Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film “Ae Watan Mere Watan” presents a narrative of a nation under colonial rule and a youth-led freedom struggle, featuring a determined woman, played by Sara Ali Khan, who refuses to surrender without a fight. Set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement of 1942, the trailer introduces us to freedom fighters, including Sara Ali Khan and Sparsh Shrivastava.

    Based on true events, the film portrays the challenges faced by a 22-year-old freedom fighter named Usha Rani, played by Sara Ali Khan, who operates an underground radio station to disseminate news during British rule. Produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, with Kannan Iyer as the director, the movie marks Sara Ali Khan’s debut in a patriotic film.

    The trailer, shared by Amazon Prime Video, hints at a tale of unyielding courage set to unfold on March 21st. Sara Ali Khan, discussing her experience during the shoot, emphasized the challenging and exciting nature of portraying an anonymous fighter who sacrificed immensely for the cause of freedom.On the work front, besides Ae Watan Mere Watan, Sara Ali Khan will also feature in the thriller Murder Mubarak alongside Vijay Varma.

    Earlier, while talking about her experience during the film’s shoot, Sara Ali Khan told PTI, “In our film, there is a part where we call her a gumnaam nayak, an anonymous fighter because we don’t know her. She sacrificed so much and you don’t know who she is, that stands according to me, as a huge tale of sacrifice, strength and bravery. All this is prevalent in today’s times or at any time. So, it was definitely challenging and exciting too,” said the 27-year-old actor.
