On Tuesday, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood assured support to a man from Uttar Pradesh whose social media post about his father gained widespread attention. Pallav Singh from Deoria, UP, shared a comprehensive message revealing that his father, who suffered a heart attack on September 15, was diagnosed with blockages in three arteries, with heart functioning at a mere 20 percent.
Pallav said he had been running pillar to post to get a life-saving surgery done at AIIMS since November and he thinks he would have to wait for at least 13 months to get the procedure done. “My father will die, soon or very soon. Yes, I know what I am saying. I am writing this while standing in a queue at AIIMS Delhi,” Pallav wrote on X.
Pallav’s viral post garnered widespread attention, with numerous individuals on social media, including a doctor, extending assistance. Sonu Sood also reached out to Pallav, urging him to share his contact details privately. In a compassionate message, Sonu Sood expressed, “We won’t let your father die, brother. Please send me your number directly through my personal Twitter inbox—avoid sharing it in a tweet.”

AIIMS Delhi and Patient’s Contradicting Statements Prompt Clarification
After the post went viral, the AIIMS Delhi responded, saying the patient, who had registered in the cardiology OPD, had some issues while waiting for evaluation. The premier institute said it called the patient/son on the phone number obtained from hospital records.
“We learned that the patient is currently in his hometown in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, and is in a stable condition at home. He will visit AIIMS for additional treatment when his father experiences any discomfort, and presently, he does not require assistance,” stated the hospital. “We have provided technical assistance. Following the tweet, we shared our helpline number with them through a direct message on Twitter (X).”

Sonu Sood: Mumbai Surgeon Extends Helping Hand for Surgery After AIIMS Confusion
However, Pallav said he was in Delhi, and not Deoria. “Communicated well to the concerned staff. Please consider and correct,” he said while replying to the post by AIIMS Delhi.
Hours after Pallav put out that emotional post describing his ordeal and how difficult it was to get the surgery done at private hospitals, Dr Prashant Mishra, a surgeon in Mumbai, offered to do the surgery in Sion Hospital as early as possible without any money.
“Come to Mumbai, and we’ll schedule the surgery at Sion Hospital as soon as we can, preferably within 3-4 days. Don’t worry about the finances; we’ll take care of everything,” he assured.
