    Bird Flu Threat: Sudden death of 100 chickens at Thane poultry farm

    About 100 chickens died suddenly at a poultry farm in Vehloli village of Shahapur tehsil of Thane district of Maharashtra. Thane DM and Collector Rajesh J. According to Rajesh J. Narvekar, in view of the threat of bird flu, his samples have sent to a laboratory in Pune.

    It is noteworthy that in the last few days, more than 300 chickens in Vehloli of Shahpur taluka of Thane have infected with bird flu.

    In view of which the Animal Husbandry Department has immediately started a campaign to destroy at least 15,000 birds within a radius of one kilometer. The Animal Husbandry Department says that citizens should not believe the rumors.

    A team of 70 people reached Muktajivan Society at Vahni on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Animal Husbandry Department has launched a scientific campaign to eradicate birds as well as fodder and eggs from poultry farms within a radius of one kilometer from the affected area. 

    The Thane District Collector has also issued an order to stop the daily activities of chicken vendors and transporters. Within a radius of one kilometer of the affected area till the transition of the affected area is free. Meanwhile, the Animal Husbandry Department is appealing not to believe the rumors.
