West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is undergoing treatment at the SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. The hospital report stated that Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee has suffered injuries to her neck, right shoulder, wrist, and left ankle.
The Election Commission has asked for a report on this matter by 5 pm today. Mamata Banerjee has claimed that she was attacked by some people while she was campaigning in Nandigram last evening, due to which she was injured. She was also brought to Kolkata by road at night and was admitted to the SSKM Hospital.
Several TMC leaders have blamed the BJP for the alleged attack. West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar also reached the hospital to meet Mamata Banerjee.
Meanwhile, the opposition parties have raised questions over the incident. BJP leader Arjun Singh has denied allegations that the BJP carried out the attack.
