Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday that China is ready to co – operate with India for the “steady and sound growth” of bilateral relations and that the two nations are dedicated to maintaining stability at the border areas in his first remarks following the most recent round of talks between Indian and Chinese military commanders.
His comments come days after Indian and Chinese military commanders held fresh talks on December 20 to resolve exceptional disagreements along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. These discussions were the first high-level negotiations since December 9 fighting between the two sides’ troops in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh.
Wang stated: “China and India have maintained communication through the diplomatic and military-to-military channels, and both countries are committed to upholding stability in the border areas” in addressing at a symposium on the situation in the world and China’s foreign relations in 2022. We are ready to work with India to improve and strengthen the ties between China and India.
