    India Pakistan border

The India-Pakistan border at Suchetgarh in Jammu has been closed to civilian traffic, with the Border Security Force (BSF) halting movement at the Octroi Post in Suchetgarh. This decision follows the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people.

The BSF also announced a reduction in retreat ceremonies at various points along the India-Pakistan border, including Attari, Hussainiwala, and Sadki in Punjab, with Suchetgarh being the fourth location where such ceremonies are held. The India International Border extends from Jammu in the north to Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat in India’s west.

These actions are a reflection of India’s serious concerns over cross-border tensions, reinforcing the message that peace and provocation cannot coexist.
