    How did the incident happen?

TV reports state that Gabriel and Edison were part of a four-member group attempting to cross the Jordan-Israel border with the help of an agent. They had entered Jordan on a three-month visit visa.

The Kerala man shot incident occurred when the Jordanian army intercepted them at the border. As they attempted to flee, soldiers opened fire, fatally shooting Gabriel in the head. Edison sustained a leg injury, and the Jordanian army hospital provided him with treatment. After his recovery, authorities repatriated him to India.

Gabriel’s family only learned about his trip to Jordan after Edison’s return. Upon further inquiry through the Indian Embassy, they were officially notified of his death.
