The Burj Khalifa lit up with the message “Guest of Honor – the Republic of India” in anticipation of PM Modi speech at the World Government Summit scheduled to occur in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday.
Upon commencing his two-day visit to the Arab nation on Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi arrived in Abu Dhabi and received a warm welcome from United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also received the Guard of Honour, symbolizing the diplomatic significance and warm reception of the visit.

PM Modi Strengthens Ties with UAE, Inks Key Agreements
He held wide-ranging talks with the UAE’s President during which they reviewed the strategic partnership, discussed new areas of cooperation and witnessed the signing of several agreements, including a bilateral investment treaty.
The two leaders have met five times in the last seven months, and this is Modi’s seventh visit to the UAE since assuming office.
Both countries also signed agreements on the interlinking of digital payment platforms — UPI (India) and AANI (UAE). “This will facilitate seamless cross-border transactions between the two countries. This follows the MoU on interlinking payment and messaging systems signed in July last year during PM’s visit to Abu Dhabi,” the Ministry of External Affairs said.

India-UAE Partnership Celebrated; Abu Dhabi’s First Hindu Temple Inaugurated
Addressing the Indian diaspora in the ‘Ahlan Modi’ (Hello Modi in Arabic) event at Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi yesterday, PM Modi hailed India and the UAE as “partners in progress” and said the ties between the two strategic partners serve as a model for the world and they are scripting a new history in the third decade of the 21st century.
“In terms of community and culture, the achievements of Bharat and the UAE serve as a model for the world to emulate,” he said.
Meanwhile, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi today. Situated in Abu Mureikhah near Al Rahba, off the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway, the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Mandir marks the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi.
