NASA astronaut and Space Station commander Sunita Williams is gearing up for a series of spacewalks, with a possible one scheduled for 2025. She dedicated her second straight day to preparing in the Quest airlock, focusing on her spacesuit. Williams, a seasoned astronaut with three space missions under her belt spacewalk, carried out crucial tasks such as replacing a data recorder box between suits and inspecting her spacesuit’s life support system after completing resizing and configuration adjustments the day before.

Expedition 72 Prepares for 2025 Spacewalk
The International Space Station (ISS) crew is preparing for an upcoming scheduled for later in 2025. Sunita Williams, a member of the Expedition 72 crew, actively involved in maintaining scientific instruments and exercise equipment aboard the ISS. Additionally, the team is wrapping up the preparation of research samples for return to Earth via the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. Splashdown has been postponed due to adverse weather near Florida’s coast.

Sunita Williams Embraces Extended ISS Mission
