Tuesday in Thane, Maharashtra, two people were murdered when their scooter struck a flyover wall and they plunged off the bridge, according to civic officials.
According to Avinash Sawant, the regional disaster management cell chief for Thane Municipal Corporation, the tragedy happened at roughly 3.30 am on the flyover at Castle Mill Naka as the victims were travelling from Majiwada to Thane station.
According to him, the two-rider wheeler’s lost control of it and it crashed into the flyover’s protective wall.
Both victims suffered serious injuries after falling from the flyover. The official claimed that they were brought dead by physicians at the Thane civil hospital after being transported there.
The two have been identified as Rajesh Bechenprasad Gupta, 26, from Ulhasnagar town, and Pratik Vinod More, 21, both of Lokmanya Nagar in Thane city.
