    A fire broke out in a compartment of the Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express

    A fire broke out in a compartment of the Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express on Saturday in Uttarakhand near the Kansro area.

    The Shatabdi Express going from Delhi to Dehradun caught fire. All passengers have been safely ejected from the train. According to one information, the reason for the fire in the coach number C5 of the train is being told as a short circuit.

    There were 35 passengers in this coach, who have been seated in the next compartment. However, no injuries have been reported so far.

    According to Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar, the fire broke out in compartment number C-4 due to a short circuit.

    “A fire broke out in the C4 compartment of the Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express today, due to a short circuit. The incident happened near Kansro. All passengers were safely evacuated and no injuries have been reported so far,”

    A coach of Dehradun-bound Shatabdi Express caught fire today, the police said, adding no one was injured in the incident.

    The train’s coach caught fire near Kasro railway station while it was coming from Delhi, Uttarakhand Police chief Ashok Kumar said.

    Mr Kumar said all passengers were evacuated from the coach, which was then separated from the train, Mr Kumar said.

    Railway officials in Delhi said the fire broke out in coach C5 of the train due to a short-circuit.

    “All passengers are safe. The fire department was also informed about it. 35 passengers in the coach that caught fire were adjusted in other coaches. The train has left for its destination,” a railway official said.

    The Uttarakhand Police chief said the train has reached Dehradun.

    According to officials, coach C5 caught fire due to a short circuit.

    “The affected coach has been detached… Guard has informed that all passengers are safe and fire brigade has been informed.

    Total 35 passengers in the coach were shifted and adjusted in other coaches. Train has departed for destination,” the Railways said.
