    The Indian Navy achieved a significant feat by intercepting and capturing a dhow in the Western Arabian Sea on April 13. They seized a substantial amount of contraband narcotics, totaling 940 kilograms. This operation marked INS Talwar’s debut drug interdiction since joining the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), in support of the Canadian-led Combined Task Force (CTF) 150.

    CMF: Safeguarding International Waters

    The ship’s specialist boarding teams & #MARCOs seized 940 kgs of contraband narcotics. The drugs are being dispose of as per CMF SOPs,” spokesperson of the Indian Navy tweet. CMF is a 42-nation naval partnership upholding the international rules-based order by promoting security and stability across 3.2 million square miles of water encompassing some of the world’s most important shipping lanes.

    Indian Navy: INS Talwar’s Successful Operation

    The Indian Navy joined CMF (Combined Maritime Forces) last November and recently INS Talwar was deployed for the operation after which the personnel managed to seize 453 kg of methamphetamines, 416 kg of hash and 71 kg of heroin. The operation concluded on Monday.
